This notice covers BasicSoft Print Services, also known as BasicSoft Web Print Bridge, package com.basicsoft.webprintbridge, provided by BasicSoft Solutions. It is an Android companion app that helps direct print jobs from a configured BasicCloud system to a compatible local-network thermal printer. It is not itself a banking or payment service.
2. Information the app may handle
- Printing configuration: the BasicCloud URL you enter, printer IP addresses, ports, paper widths, printer names, and service-start preferences.
- Print jobs: invoices or receipts may include item names, prices, invoice numbers and, depending on the originating document, customer information.
- Technical diagnostics: service status, connection errors, network addresses, timestamps, and operational log information.
The current declared permissions do not include access to contacts, messages, photos or precise location; functionality and permissions could change in a future version.
3. Why this information is used
These details support your selected printing workflow, save local printer settings, route print jobs to configured destinations, test connections, and help diagnose technical problems. Only information necessary to complete the intended print operation should be sent.
4. Networking and third parties
The app may communicate with the locally configured printer and the BasicCloud URL supplied by the user. Print content may be transmitted to the selected printer. Security in transit depends on the protocols, network configuration and devices in use.
This public website has no advertising trackers or visitor-submitted forms. The hosting provider may maintain technical access logs (such as IP addresses, access times and user agents) for security and operation.
5. Retention, storage, and deletion
Printer configuration may remain on your device until you change it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Print jobs are handled for the requested printing purpose; diagnostic data may be held locally for a period determined by the app’s operation and your device settings.
You can clear the app’s local storage from Android Settings or uninstall it, which may also erase your configured printer details. Separately retained information in the BasicCloud system, printer, or backups is not necessarily deleted and must be addressed with the responsible system operator.
Contact us using the details below to request information, correction, or deletion of any data handled directly by BasicSoft. Do not send passwords or unnecessary invoice information with inquiries.
6. Security and permissions
The app uses network connectivity and status permissions, and a foreground service to support network printing. A boot notification permission may be used for service startup behavior subject to user and device configuration. Use a trusted local network, keep the software updated, and restrict printer access to authorized devices.
7. Children and accounts
This product is intended for business printing, not for children. The printing companion itself does not currently require creating a separate app account as shown by its setup workflow. Use of a connected BasicCloud system may involve credentials managed by its administrator.
